@garcwrites: Going in I knew Hamilton: The Musical was two hours and forty minutes long. What I didn't know, well most likely forgot, is that it's in two acts, and that's important. Not being a Musical Theatre aficionado the run time was daunting, but once I started I was kind of feeling it.
I was totally engaged - I had to be - because this is a little dense. They sing the whole time, I mean the whole time. It feels like one long as song, with tons of information in lyrics that you don't always understand. So I had to be "on" if I didn't want to miss something. At some points of the first act it felt like they were lip-syncing, or as if they put the audio of one performance on the images of another, the sound mixing looked off.
By the time the intermission came, it was like a slapped to my face, because like I mentioned I forgot about it so I thought that it was the end of the musical. I was mildly entertain by what I saw and was ready to move on. It legit made me sweat when I realize I had over an hour to go.
The second act was truly a breath of fresh air. I felt like I learned more in that part then the first. There was a lot of variety in the songs, which were amazing, but I was captivated by what was going on, not because I could miss something important, I was just entertained.
I also appreciated that they didn't sanitize the more questionable aspects of the story. It got me to like the cast even more. I was looking at the performances and soaking in the history.
Hamilton is worth the watch it's crescendo with the first act feels like a intro that's running a little long but once you're in the thick of it, it's fun, and clever.

Me, a French canadien who love HAMILTON and who know all the lyric to the majority of the musical 😂🤷‍♀️ that is just to good. My acting school is doing Hamilton for its show that we do in the theatre in my town and hopefully I get cast as Alexander Hamilton or Aaron Burr I would love to play those parts but the bad thing is if i get one of the parts i dont know how im not going to cry on stage. Worst thing is people from my school come to watch it and there all going to see me cry my eyes out on stage. Great. 😂.

I wanted to like this. I like musicals and I love rap music. But I couldn't stand this! Made it to 40 minutes before I ran away.
The rap music is pretty damn weak. The beats are so simple, sound like they were made by some actor on GarageBand. Oh wait, I think they were. Such repetitive and boring beats.
The rapping was pretty crappy. More like 2hr40 of spoken word over crappy beats.
The only endearing part was the King. He is the 2 stars I give. Otherwise, thank god we didn't pay to see this in theaters.

So, although unlikely since most pirates thought it unlucky to have a women aboard, there's a possibility that Theodosia was used to lure other pirates into a fake sense of security- let's go with that ending and not the more likely rape, and then death by drowning okay? And I all of this is from my own research online (I love Hamilton and I love History) so if their are any historians or people with links, please post them in the comments.

The boys choir at my school sang this and everyone got shook 💀. Loved the musical. Watched it on Disney + a few days ago. Also love history. I wish this documentary covered on a bit more tho. There were chunks missing. It felt too short. Not enough detail. Too blind of a sweep. Heck, two of his kids never really got to know him as they were born around 1802 and he died in that 1804 duel. Thats just sad. Thats just sad. Cant get the musical out of my head either. Its catchy as heck. Also say it with me: HE DID NOT DESERVE ELIZA. Me first time listening to this: i cant tell the difference between angelica's and eliza's voices me 4567897654356789785435467854th time listening to this: haha yeah eliza is there and angelica there.
